Lately I have been into scrubbing. Not just any scrubbing, but body scrubbing. Big fan, I am telling you. Why? Because I love the way my skin feels after I apply the body scrub. It feels so soft and smooth, like velvet. Apparently, body scrub is like a facial for your body. it exfoliates and hydrates your skin while removing all the dead skin cells.
In particular, there are some important benefits from using body scrub:
1. Goodbye dead skin cells – the body scrub will exfoliate your skin and let it reveal its glow and softness
2. Hydration booster – after you scrub your skin it will instantly absorb the moisturiser leaving your skin so soft
3. Acne fighting – if you are dealing with acne prone skin, apparently, the body scrub can be a useful add-on in your daily skin care regime
4. Stress relief – when exfoliating your body, this massaging motion will instantly make you feel more relaxed and comfortable in your skin
It is very easy to use. I get in the shower and stay under the water for five minutes to soften the skin. Then I pause running the water and apply the body scrub in circular motions. Starting from neck and all the way to my feet. I maintain gentle pressure. I use a coconut oil body scrub, Coco Rose, and it smells so divine while scrubbing in on my body.
How often to use the body scrub
As a rule of thumb, I would say use the body scrub once per week. But then again that depends on your skin and how often it can take the scrubbing.
